gender identity. Otoko no ko are frequently associated with the Josou community and like sharing their femininity through attire and makeup. Certain individuals might identify as otoko no ko on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on their comfort level. In recent years, otoko no ko have more visible and accepted in the community, leading to increased awareness and understanding.
